St Mary, Brownedge, Bamber Bridge & Our Lady of Lourdes and St Gerard Majella, Lostock Hall

Appointment Type: Full time, permanent Working hours: 35 hours per week, normally Mon-Fri, working pattern to be agreed with Parish Priest. Location: St Mary’s Priory, Brownedge Lane, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 6SP and Our Lady of Lourdes & St Gerard Majella, Brownedge Road, Lostock Hall Preston, PR5 5AA. Salary and benefits: £22,000 – £23,500 per annum depending on skills & experience, 25 holidays, plus statutory bank holidays and 5 Diocesan closure days.

About: St Mary, Bamber Bridge & Our Lady of Lourdes and St Gerard Majella, Lostock Hall are looking for a Site Manager who will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and health & safety compliance for all property belonging to the two parishes. The incumbent will also have responsibility for grounds maintenance of both sites including the upkeep and care of the cemeteries.

What we are looking for: A suitability qualified individual who has experience of managing facilities and compliance aspects of a site(s) with familiarity to and understanding of key legal and safety requirements. They will possess an excellent understanding of the principles associated with planning, monitoring and delivering services and be comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders including clergy, staff, parishioners and contractors.

What you will need: The successful candidate will have the ability to problem solve and innovate and possess sound organisational and planning skills. They will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and be able to build and maintain effective working relationships. The post-holder will have an understanding that the Diocese of Salford is a faith-based religious organisation and possess the ability to work with sympathy towards and respect for the values and ideals of the Church.
