25TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Priest: In today’s 2nd reading, St Paul invites us to offer prayers for everyone, especially those in authority; with this in mind we place our intercessions before our Heavenly Father.
Reader: For Francis our Pope, John our Bishop and all leaders of the Church; may they be effective witnesses to honesty and justice, proclaiming the truth of the gospel in the public square.

Reader: For Christian people working in business and industry; may their practices be guided by an informed conscience and characterised by justice, integrity and awareness of those in need.

Reader: For all those who have returned to school and college recently; may they be encouraged to develop, not only their minds, but their whole being, so that they may be the people God has created them to be.

Reader: For the sick, especially those who suffer from anxiety or fear; may our community reach out to them and be a place where they feel the love and compassion of God and His Church.

Reader: For King Charles III; may the Lord grant him health strength and wisdom as he assumes his position as our new Sovereign.

Reader: For the repose of the soul of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth; may she rest in peace and rise in glory.
