Priest:             <\/strong>In the name of Jesus, who was transfigured while at prayer, let us pray now for the needs of all God\u2019s people.<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>For the Church; in the light of the Synod called by Pope Francis, may we listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and seek true paths of \u201cCommunion, Participation and Mission\u201d to renew the Church in our age.<\/p>\n

                        Lord in your mercy \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Hear our prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>For peace in our world, especially in Ukraine at the present time; that God will turn the hearts of leaders of nations to seek ways of dialogue and diplomacy to solve disputes and conflicts.<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>For those forced to flee from their homes; may we all respond with kindness and hospitality to those who seek refuge in fear and heartbreak.<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>We pray for the work of Cafod and other aid agencies; may our offerings for Family Fast Day raise both awareness in ourselves of those who are in need, and funding for their many projects around the world.<\/p>\n

Reader:<\/strong>          That this Lent may enlighten our eyes in the Faith; may we recognise God\u2019s covenant with us, through the law and the prophets coming to fulfilment in the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus.<\/p>\n
