BIDDING PRAYERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Priest:             <\/strong>With the encouragement of John the Baptist we prepare a way for the Lord by offering our prayers to our Heavenly Father in hopeful expectation of His plan for our salvation.<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>For the Our Holy Father Pope Francis; may his apostolic visits to Cyprus and Greece encourage the peoples of those countries in their faith and be a reminder of God\u2019s care for all people, especially those in most need.<\/p>\n

                        Lord hear us \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Lord graciously hear us<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>We remember the life of 6 year old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes; may the harrowing news this week of his maltreatment and murder remind us all of the treasure of human life and the need to protect those who are most vulnerable.<\/p>\n

                        Lord hear us \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Lord graciously hear us<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>For those exiled from their homes by violence and terror; may they soon exchange the garments of sorrow for the robes of rejoicing.<\/p>\n

                        Lord hear us \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Lord graciously hear us<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>For the sick and housebound of our community; may they be supported and encouraged by our prayers and our fellowship<\/p>\n

                        Lord hear us \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Lord graciously hear us<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>For families in our community; may the true message of Advent sustain them amidst the commercial pressures which bombard them during this time, and may our children receive what they truly need: the gift of love.<\/p>\n

                        <\/strong>Lord hear us \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.Lord graciously hear us<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>Let us remember especially today (Stan and Kath Lucas, Vigil Mass); (Intentions of Mothers Prayers, 9.30am Mass); (The Parish 11.00am Mass) (Norbert Hardacre 6.30pm) for whom this Mass is offered.<\/p>\n

And also, all the faithful departed, (especially \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.), and for all those who have died recently, may they be raised up on the last day.<\/p>\n

Reader:          <\/strong>Let us pray for our own private intentions; (pause).   We ask Mary, our Mother, to intercede on our behalf: Hail Mary \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n
