{"id":15195,"date":"2020-02-28T16:59:59","date_gmt":"2020-02-28T16:59:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/11host.me\/stmary\/?p=15195"},"modified":"2022-12-30T17:04:10","modified_gmt":"2022-12-30T17:04:10","slug":"mercy-brothers-priest-rock-band","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/11host.me\/stmary\/mercy-brothers-priest-rock-band\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercy Brothers Priest Rock Band"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Fundraising for the Syrian Refugee <\/strong><strong>Sponsorship Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the evening of Friday 28 February 2020, parishioners from St Mary\u2019s,<br \/>\nBrownedge; Our Lady of Lourdes and St Gerard\u2019s; and many parishioners from<br \/>\nparishes across the Diocese, together with friends, enjoyed a wonderful evening to<br \/>\nfundraise for the St Mary\u2019s, Brownedge Syrian Refugee Sponsorship Programme.<br \/>\nEntertainment for the evening was provided by the amazing Mercy Brothers Priest<br \/>\nRock Band, a group of six Priests from across the Salford Diocese who performed<br \/>\npopular songs with a message of redemption by artists such as Bob Dylan, U2, Neil<br \/>\nDiamond, The Proclaimers and many more. The band\u2019s members include Fr Mark<br \/>\nHarold (St Mary\u2019s, Brownedge) and Fr Joe Gee (Our Lady of Lourdes and St Gerard<br \/>\nMajella, Lostock Hall).<br \/>\nA great evening, which included a hotpot supper and raffle, was enjoyed by all in<br \/>\nsupport of such a worthy cause.
