LORD JESUS CHRIST, UNIVERSAL KING

Priest: Let us pray to God in the name of Jesus, the ruler of the kings of earth, whose dominion is everlasting and whose kingship shall never be destroyed.

Reader: For the Church; that Christians may imitate Jesus their king by renouncing worldly power and bearing witness to Christ’s kingdom of justice, love and peace.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader: For all peoples of earth; that those who govern nations and guide the destinies of peoples, may listen to the voice of Truth and seek the paths of peace and justice.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader: For young people; on this Youth Sunday may they be attracted by the person of Jesus and His teaching and aspire to live their lives in the light of His love.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader: For those who feel powerless in the face of life’s difficulties; may they find helping hands and loving hearts in our community.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader: For those Christians who suffer persecution; may we all strive to support them and build a world which does not tolerate religious discrimination.

Reader: Let us remember especially today (Elizabeth Prescott: Vigil Mass); (Bert Keany: 10.00am Mass) (The Parish & Deceased members of Bamber Bridge FC: 6.30pm) for whom this Mass is offered.

And also, all the faithful departed, especially, Patrick Carmody and Nicola Smith who have died recently. May they be raised up on the last day.
