As announced last weekend, from the beginning of October, Fr Joseph Gee will be leaving Our Lady and St Gerard’s to become Parish Priest of St Mary’s Denton and St John Fisher Haughton Green. As there is currently no other priest available, the Bishop has asked Fr Mark, with the help of Fr Colin, to look after the needs of both Our Lady and St Gerard’s and St Mary’s, Brownedge. There will inevitably have to be some changes to Mass times in both churches. Over the next few weeks, we will consider the best way forward.
In the meantime, St Mary’s Brownedge will continue the summer schedule of Sunday Masses through until the beginning of Advent. Thus, one Mass on a Sunday morning at 10am. The Saturday and Sunday evening Masses will remain the same for the time being.
